Torre Bissell, Dn. Alan Hart, 9:25 to 10:30 AM, in front of Christ Church on State St (+ indicates received a cross). We prayed about the crack house next door which is still in operation.

+Tameka — “keep my family strong, peaceful, guide us, keep us warm” Gave crosses to her children as well: +Quan, +Nichele, and +Tameka. Tameka (the mom) has twin babies at home: Travon and Davon.
+Louise — (elderly woman) “my legs”
+Sasha — “I’ve got so much going on.”
+Don — prayed for him and his family
+Lorenzo — for his family and his girl friend
+Shawn — “for my wife (Cynthia) that she will be safe”
+Douglas — (young man going by on a skate board in a T-shirt) “What’s going on here?” He asked for prayer for his younger brother Bryan. We also asked the Lord to keep Douglas safe on his skate board. When I gave Douglas one of the little wooden crosses he said, “Oh, that’s where people are getting these.”

Sudan

The General Synod of Sudan has elected a new primate, Rt Revd Daniel Deng Bul of the Diocese of Renk.

Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.  1 Corinthians 4:2

Lord God,

You have called Daniel to stand up for a difficult land at a difficult time in the life of the Anglican Communion.  May he hold fast the shield of faith in all circumstances.  Amen.

Psalm 138

I will praise you with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praises to you. (Psalm 138:1)
      LORD, when we come to worship you, please help us sing your praises. Don’t let us be distracted by anything else that claims to be divine.

I will worship toward your holy temple, and praise your name for your lovingkindness and your truth; for you have magnified your word and your name above all things. (Psalm 138:2)
      Jesus, your name and your word are holy; please help us live into your holiness and worship you.

In the day when I cried out, you answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. (Psalm 138:3)
      Holy Spirit, please give Bishop Bill boldness and strength in his soul as he cries out to you for help day by day.

All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O LORD, when they hear the words of your mouth. (Psalm 138:4)
      Father, please bring all the rulers of this present age under Jesus’ sovereign authority. Help them know they are but men.

Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the LORD, for great is the glory of the LORD. (Psalm 138:5)
      Jesus, please bring all of the rulers of this nation to the knowledge that they are under your authority so that they may sing of your glory. Bring the leaders of this community, this state, and the Federal government to a saving knowledge of you. Let you glory shine forth again in this nation.

Though the LORD is on high, yet he regards the lowly; but the proud he knows from afar. (Psalm 138:6)
      LORD, please deal with the leaders and teachers of the Episcopal Church, for they have in their pride held your faithful ones in contempt.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me; you will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand will save me. (Psalm 138:7)
      Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the works of your hands. (Psalm 138:8)

The diocese of Louisiana will vote on dissociation from the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice on Feb 29-Mar 1. 

Dear Jesus,

You are our great high priest, continuing forever.  Your priesthood is permament.  You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.  You are able to save those that draw near to God through You since You always live to make intercession for them.

In prayer, we bring You the unborn.  Lay Your hands on them and save them.  Amen.
