GAFCon and Lambeth

The Global Anglican Future Conference meets in mid-June and the Lambeth Conference in mid-July.

Dear God,

We pray that these meetings will bring glory to Your name. In Your tender mercies, grant them:

–prophets with the vision not only to see our sins but our full restoration.

–servants to intercede for the cleansing of Your Church.

–teachers to show forth the Word of God.

–exhorters to hold up the light of Christ.

–givers to provide the set-aside times and places for worship and intercession.

–leaders to provide spiritual authority and holy nurture.

–the merciful to worship You. Amen.

Romans 12:4-8

Psalm 66:1-5

Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! (Psalm 66:1)
      Holy Spirit, help us join in this joyful celebration.

Sing out the honor of his name; make his praise glorious. (Psalm 66:2)
      Jesus, yours is the name that is above every name in heaven and on earth; help us bring honor to your name in this diocese.

Say to God, “How awesome are your works! Through the greatness of your power your enemies shall submit themselves to you.” (Psalm 66:3)
      Father, it is not by our might or power that we shall prevail, but by your Spirit. (From Zechariah 4:6)

“All the earth shall worship you and sing praises to you; they shall sing praises to your name.” (Psalm 66:4)
      Holy Spirit, please help us today to join in this chorus of praise.

Come and see the works of God; he is awesome in his doing toward the sons of men. (Psalm 66:5)
      Father, your ways are awesome; help us retain a daily wonder at what you have done for us.
