Exodus 13:14 and Psalm 118:1

March 28, 2008

“So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you shall say to him, ‘By strength of hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.’” (Exodus 13:14)
Jesus, you have redeemed our lives out of the bondage to sin and death at such great cost to yourself, help us effectively tell the next generation about what you have done for us.

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! For his mercy endures forever. (Psalm 118:1)
Thank you, Father for your goodness and mercy toward us.

A word received: I AM with you.
      Thank you, Holy Spirit.

Friday: 118: Exodus 13:1-2,11-16; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; Luke 24:1-12

Dallas

Nominees for the Bishop Suffragan of the diocese of Dallas are Rev. Ally Perry, Rev. Canon Dr. Neal Michell, Rev. Canon Paul Lambert, Rev. Raymond Jennison, Jr., Rev. Canon David Holland, and Rev. Leander Harding, Ph. D.  The election is Saturday, March 29.

Eternal God, we give you thanks for the gift of the resurrection of you Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, and praise you that for our sakes, He gave us the Apostolic ministry. Make the voting delegates of the Dallas diocesan convention worthy stewards of this trust and guide them as they seek a Bishop Suffragan, who will be called to be one with the Apostles, in ministry, witness and teaching; that your Church in that Diocese may be built up and your Son glorified in all they do; this we ask in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
