“I was watching in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him near before him.” (Daniel 7:13)
LORD, please give us eyes to see what you are doing.

“Then to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.” (Daniel 7:14)
Jesus, have dominion over us in this dioceses. I trust that your kingdom will not be destroyed.

A word received: Pray for my people to return to me.

When he had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. (Matthew 8:1)
Help us to follow you, Jesus.

And behold, a leper came and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” (Matthew 8:2)
Lord, if you are willing, you can make the Episcopal Church clean

Then Jesus put out his hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. (Matthew 8:3)
Lord Jesus, stretch out your hand and touch the Episcopal Church and cleanse us of un righteousness. Renew in our day the wonders of your Pentecost.

A word received: I have carried you on Eagles’ wings and I have never dropped you.

Christ Church Schenectady Prayer Table 2008 05 03

Dn. Alan Hart, Howard Smith, and Torre Bissell 9:15 to 10:30 A.M., in front of Christ Church on State St. Cold and rainy, not many people out. (+ indicates received a cross).

+Andrew — first asked prayer for clothing and provision. Then he asked for prayer for his two teenage children, +Andrew and +Andrea. He had not had any contact with them for two years and last week when he was in downtown Schenectady by Proctors, his kids saw him as they were riding by on a bus. They ran off the bus and ran up to him and hugged him and spent an hour with him. They gave him their phone number so he could call them. He has been afraid to do it. We prayed with him and Dn. Alan anointed him to deal with the fear so that he could reach out to them. Andrew was crying. He also asked for pray for his mom, Janet.
+Paula — prayed for shelter.
+Diamond — wanted prayer for her daughter Kyra and her son Stephen. We prayed for provision and protection.
James — “I’m a Rossicrucian.” We said we still wanted to pray for him. Then he admitted that he needed prayer.
+Ronnie — her sister Debbie is in the ICU in Amsterdam, NY. Another sister told Ronnie that if she, Ronnie, didn’t convert to Jehovah’s Witnesses, Debbie was going to die. Ronnie was in hysterics about this. Howard spent a long time praying with her through this to the point where Ronnie was again trusting Jesus and praising him.
Pat — prayed for provision and protection for friends and family.
The Bus Driver — It’s been a year now since his wife left him and he has not heard from her. He is fighting temptation to file for divorce on the grounds of abandonment. “I’m hanging in there.”
2 ladies pulled car up to ask for directions — Howard also prayed with them.
Alicia — provision and protection for friends and family.

Deacon Alan anointed many of them with holy oil for healing and protection.

“The Savior of us all, the Word of God, in his great love took to himself a body and moved as Man among men, meeting their senses, so to speak, half way. He became himself an object for the senses, so that those who were seeking God in sensible things might apprehend the Father through the works which he, the Word of God, did in the body. Human and human-minded as men were, therefore, to whichever side they looked in the sensible world, they found themselves taught the truth.” Athanasius in “On the Incarnation of the Word of God”

Jesus, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You are the way, the truth, the life. May the graduates of Anglican seminaries apprehend the Truth and teach the Truth. Just as You ordered Your life according to Holy Scripture, grant them the same humility. Guard them from false assumptions and understandings. We pray that they have the mind of Christ. Amen.
