The people asked, and he brought quail, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. (Psalm 105:40)
Thank you, Jesus, for giving us the bread of heaven.
He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it ran in the dry places like a river. (Psalm 105:41)
Holy Spirit, soften our stony hearts and let your living waters flow forth from us.
For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham His servant. (Psalm 105:42)
Father, thank you for making us children of Abraham by faith in Jesus.
He brought out his people with joy, his chosen ones with gladness. (Psalm 105:43)
Jesus, please bring your people forth with joy from every part of this diocese to the Diocesan Convention.
He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, and they inherited the labor of the nations, (Psalm 105:44)
Jesus, please help us enter into all that you have prepared for us.
That they might observe his statutes and keep his laws. Praise the LORD! (Psalm 105:45)
Father, please help us by your Holy Spirit to observe your statutes and keep your righteous laws.
A word received: Come to me with your illness. Ask me to lay my hands on you for healing.

He said to me, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps on it with seven spouts belonging to each of the lamps which are on the top of it . . . “For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven will be glad when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel–these are the eyes of the LORD which range to and fro throughout the earth.” Zechariah 4:2, 10
“For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. 2 Chronicle 16:9a
Dear Lord,
Move Your eyes to and fro throughout the Anglican Communion. Strongly support those whose hearts are completely Yours. May they have the humility to honor the small things, the daily acts of discipline, the obedience to Your words that they learned as a child. May they recognize the wisdom of Your words and the folly of the world.
You know who they are, Lord. Strongly support them, we pray. Amen.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, has written to the Anglican church in Burma following the devastation of Cyclone Nargis in the area of the Irrawaddy River Delta.
In the letter to Archbishop Stephen Than Myint Oo, Dr Williams assures the church of the prayers of the Anglican Communion and commends the rescue operation now underway:
“I am heartened to know relief efforts are underway to help hundreds of thousands of people who are without clean water, food, or shelter. Our hearts grieve with all those who have lost their loved ones, their homes and their livelihoods. In the face of such loss, all I can offer in my prayers for you is the totality of the love of God, even in the face of all that on earth is disfigured by natural disaster. ‘This is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.’ (John 6.39). Please be assured that your brothers and sisters across the Communion are holding you in their prayers.”
The remainder of the post at the Anglican Communion News Service lists Christian relief agencies. Previous Lent & Beyond prayers are listed here.
