The Lord’s Resistance Army

The Lord’s Resistance Army is a rebel army operating in Uganda, Sudan, and Congo. They are currently killing near Maridi, where Bishop Justin of Sudan is located. He has asked for prayers of protection.

Jehovah-Sabaoth,
Who are these rebels that they should bring reproach on Your holy name? Who is Joseph Kony that he should defy the living God by using His name in the service of death? Kony has profaned Your name. He has abducted, enslaved, raped, maimed, and killed Your children.
We bless You, O Lord. All that is within us blesses Your holy name. Our hearts rejoice in You because we trust Your holy name. We praise Your great and terrible name for it is holy. You are our Redeemer. The Lord of hosts is Your name, the Holy One of Israel.
Save Your children, O God of our salvation, from the Lord’s Resistance Army. Gather them and deliver them from the heathen that they may give thanks to Your holy name and glory in Your praise. Deliver the people who are being persecuted and the children that are enslaved by the Lord’s Resistance Army. Protect Bishop Justin, Mama Joyce, and their flock.
Your name cannot be corrupted. In Your incorruptible name, we bind up all of the demonic forces at work in the Lord’s Resistance Army–the spirits of death, destruction, lust, greed, slavery, hate, theft and drug addiction. We bind up all interaction, interplay, and communication of demonic spirits. We bind up Molech, Baal, and Asherah.
We cry out for deliverance, Lord. Raise up a deliverer to take down Joseph Kony, just as David slew Goliath. Anoint him or her with Your Holy Spirit. Just as David found five smooth stones from the brook, provide all that is needed. Raise up intercessors to join their voices to that of Your Son Jesus, the son of David, who sits at Your right hand to plea for Your children. The Son of God was manifest to destroy the works of the devil.
You arm is not foreshortened, Lord. Lead Your angelic host against the satanic forces of nature and the occult operating in the Lord’s Resistance Army. We pray for the downfall of Joseph Kony, the dissolution of the Lord’s Resistance Army, and the return of the enslaved children to their families. We pray for a cessation of the violence. Smite the arms dealers and drug dealers, the sex slave traffickers, and the corrupt government officials who support this rebel force. If any oil company officials and money-laundering agents are involved with the Lord’s Resistance Army, cast them down.
We pray for the complete and total destruction of the Lord’s Resistance Army, even if supernatural means are necessary. Come speedily, Lord. Come to Sudan, Uganda, and Congo. Come. Amen.

      Father, guard our hearts from the temptations that daily beset us. Thank you for showing us your tender mercy by sending your son Jesus to take our sins upon himself.

Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:5)
      Father, we ask you to renew us both physically and spiritually, for the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, both now and forever.

Subject: Fw: urgent prayers
Dear Intercessors,
      I ask your fervent prayers for our brothers and sisters in Sudan. We have rec’d messages from Bp. Justin that the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) has begun attacks once again just 8 miles south of Maridi where Bp. Justin and Mama Joyce are. Some were shot, some were hacked by machete’s to pieces. It is very important that we hold them all in prayer for protection and a speedy stop to these attacks. FHS, Donna
       Heavenly Father, we cry out to you to protect our brothers and sisters in Sudan from the horrible attacks of the LRA. Please keep the LRA from their godless actions and abolish this awful group. Give all who serve you Lord the assurance of your love and protection. In Jesus name. AMEN

The primates of the Anglican Communion will meet later this month.

As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.

Almighty God,
You are sovereign, and the Anglican Communion is in Your keeping. You will have the final say as to its destiny.
We have sinned and made a mockery of the Church. We reject Your authority. We murmur and complain. We pollute our own bodies and live in lusts and passions. It is only in yielding to You will our hearts be healed.
Take pity and remember that we are dust. Anoint each of the primates with the spirit of the fear of the Lord. Take pity. Keep them from falling. Build them up in faith and keep them in the love of God. Amen.
