The Lord’s Resistance Army is scattered and weakened under a joint military operation of Uganda, Southern Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo named Operation Lightning Thunder. This is a critical juncture. Can the LRA be brought to dissolution or will the scattering simply establish them over a broader geographic region?
O Lord God of Israel,
When Pharoah enslaved the children of Israel, You sent thunder and hail upon the land, and the fire ran along the ground. Joseph Kony, Okot Odhiambo, Dominic Ongwen, and the other leaders of the LRA have enslaved the children of Uganda, Sudan, and the Congo.
Show Yourself strong in the defense of these children! Take pity, and set the children of Africa free from the bondage of the LRA. Rain Your thunder, hail, and lightning upon the LRA leaders and upon their stores of weapons and ammunition. Bring about their defeat, we pray. Amen.
