Psalm 98

Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! For he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have gained him the victory. (Psalm 98:1)
      Jesus, win the victory in our hearts!

The LORD has made known his salvation; his righteousness he has revealed in the sight of the nations. (Psalm 98:2)
      Father, reveal your righteousness to the leaders and teachers of the Episcopal Church and make your salvation known to them.

He has remembered his mercy and his faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. (Psalm 98:3)
      Holy Spirit, help us in this diocese remember Jesus’ faithfulness and his mercy, and plant in all our hearts the hope of salvation.

Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth; break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises. (Psalm 98:4)
      Jesus, please help us come into your sanctuary with joyful shouts and songs of praise.

Sing to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of a psalm, (Psalm 98:5)
      Father, please help us sing with joy all that you have done for us.

With trumpets and the sound of a horn; shout joyfully before the LORD, the King. (Psalm 98:6)
      Holy Spirit, fill the sanctuary with songs of praise and joy because of what you are doing in our lives.

Let the sea roar, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell in it; (Psalm 98:7)
      LORD, your whole creation sings your praise.

Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills be joyful together before the LORD, (Psalm 98:8 )
      Father, restore your creation that it may joy in you.

For he is coming to judge the earth. With righteousness he shall judge the world, and the peoples with equity. (Psalm 98:9)
      Come soon, Lord Jesus; come soon!

A word received for a Sunday School on Daniel 6 this morning: I AM calling my people back to me. I AM calling them to speak words of hope to one another. I want you to be a people of hope. I want you to look at every “lion” and know that I can deliver you from it.
