The river is that people who believe on Jesus

John 7:38
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Revelation 22:1
Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Ezekiel 47
In my vision, the man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple. There I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side. The man brought me outside the wall through the north gateway and led me around to the eastern entrance. There I could see the water flowing out through the south side of the east gateway. . . .
He asked me, “Have you been watching, son of man?” Then he led me back along the riverbank. When I returned, I was surprised by the sight of many trees growing on both sides of the river. Then he said to me, “This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure. There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows. . . . Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.”

Dear Heavenly Father,
We claim Your Holy Scripture. Your people bring life to this world. Your people stand against Satan and death. The words of their tongues will turn bitter water into sweet. New life–biological & spiritual–will abound.
Your people bring food to this world. They provide physical food through through Your Spirit by the prayers of their mouths, the labors of their hands, and their study of Your creation. Their lives carry love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.
Your people rebuke sickness. Their presence can heal. Their prayers open gateways of Your mercy. Their touch brings new life.
Lord, we cry out for rivers of living water to flow out from Jerusalem and to our nation. We cry out for rivers of living water to flow through the church in the United States. We cry out for rivers of living water to flow to Mississippi, to Yazoo, and its church.
Flow, rivers, flow. Flow with power. Flow today. Amen.

The idea for the combination of these three scriptures came from Francis Frangipane.

One Response to The river is that people who believe on Jesus

  1. Georgia says:

    There is a river,
    the streams whereof
shall make glad the city of God,
the holy place of the tabernacles
    of the most High.
    God is in the midst of her;
    she shall not be moved:
    God shall help her
    and that right early.

Be still and know that I AM GOD.
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth.
    The LORD of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge.
    Selah. (Psalm 46: 4-5, 10-12)

    Dear Holy Father,
Let Thy Peace and All Blessings
descend upon Your Church, the Holy City,
    Your Bride, The Holy Jerusalem
Wash and restore her to Yourself
Help her to remove the debris
    of false gods, false worship,
    false words, false teachings,
    false fire, false prophecies,
    false devotion to You,
    false love for each other.
To clothe herself with the garments
    of salvation, praise and compassion.
Help her – rebuild her walls,
Restore her to Your design and decree,
A city compact and ordered by You,
flowing with the Water of Life,
    Lit by Your Holy Presence
Secure and free in Your Truth,
Joyful in Your Love and Grace.
A place of overflowing Peace and All blessings,
That flow from You in true worship
in the reverent fear of The LORD.
In the Name above all names,
    Jesus Christ, Amen
