Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, (Psalm 91:9)
LORD, you are from everlasting to everlasting and you are my refuge, and underneath I am held up by your everlasting arms. (From Deuteronomy 33:27a)
No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; (Psalm 91:10)
Jesus, please let our home be a haven of peace and healing for all who come here.
For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11)
Father, please command your angels to watch over and guard me and my family.
In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. (Psalm 91:12)
Holy Spirit, you helped Jesus recognize Satan’s use of this verse as a false choice to tempt him; please help us recognize all the false choices that come our way for what they are.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. (Psalm 91:13)
Father, help us tread down all that is evil among us.
“Because he has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known my name.” (Psalm 91:14)
LORD, please help us know and abide in the power of your name.
“He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.” (Psalm 91:15)
Jesus, we call upon you to lead and guide this diocese in this time of trouble in your church. Deliver us and bring us to the honor only you can give.
“With long life I will satisfy him, and show him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:16)
Holy Spirit, please help us to be vigorous, sturdy and fruitful in old age. As our days are, so let our strength be. (From Deuteronomy 33:25)
A word received: I AM. Look to me for guidance. I will show you the way.

We have some of the coolest readers. One of them, Georgia, posted this prayer as a comment.
There is a river,
the streams whereof
shall make glad the city of God,
the holy place of the tabernacles
of the most High.
God is in the midst of her;
she shall not be moved:
God shall help her
and that right early.
…
Be still and know that I AM GOD.
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth.
The LORD of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Selah. (Psalm 46: 4-5, 10-12)
Dear Holy Father,
Let Thy Peace and All Blessings
descend upon Your Church, the Holy City,
Your Bride, The Holy Jerusalem
Wash and restore her to Yourself
Help her to remove the debris
of false gods, false worship,
false words, false teachings,
false fire, false prophecies,
false devotion to You,
false love for each other.
To clothe herself with the garments
of salvation, praise and compassion.
Help her – rebuild her walls,
Restore her to Your design and decree,
A city compact and ordered by You,
flowing with the Water of Life,
Lit by Your Holy Presence
Secure and free in Your Truth,
Joyful in Your Love and Grace.
A place of overflowing Peace and All blessings,
That flow from You in true worship
in the reverent fear of The LORD.
In the Name above all names,
Jesus Christ, Amen
Christ Church Schenectady Prayer Table Report October 17, 9:15-10:30 AM Torre Bissell and Don Foust
+–indicates received wooden cross made by Dennis Adams of North Carolina.
It felt like November today; the weather was cold, overcast, and breezy. While the season has definitely changed, there is no change in the needs of the people along State Street. They are hurting and searching for answers.
The Prayer Table has become a regular stop for a number of folks in the Neighborhood, and we have added their names to the bottom of the Prayer Table Report.
Man riding by on a bicycle– Made the sign of the cross. “God bless you. God bless everybody.”
+Youseff and his dog– “Just trying to keep the faith”. Took crosses for his wife +Erica and son +Youseff, Jr.
+Calvin– He and his wife +Gloria are both looking for employment. We prayed for provision.
Lawrence–walking by–did not stop. Prayed for blessings in his life.
+John–recently lost his mother (Betsy Mae). Prayed for peace in his life and the soul of his departed mother.
+Christina– young woman on her way to the bus. Waited for John to finish at the Prayer Table, then came forward without prompting. Prayed for a good day. Took crosses for her two children++.
Kayla–(regular)–Two things were different about Kayla today: she was wearing a bright red jacket (normally she dresses in grays and blacks) and she was singing aloud as she was listening to her music through her headphones. We prayed for healing of past memories and for her family.
+Tommie–52 year old man–self-described Irish Catholic. Due to the economic down-turn, he and his wife Cathleen are searching for a place to live. Tommie said he was “different–he and his wife have been married 35 years”. Tommie was already wearing a cross. He took the wooden cross we gave him and put it next to a Bible he was carrying in his backpack. We thank God for Tommie and Cathleen’s faithfulness and pray that they will find a place to live.
+Lisa–was searching for her daughter who lived on Clarendon Street in Schenectady. We prayed for protection and that she would find her daughter. Lisa had 5 children+++++ with her. We prayed with the children that they would come to know the Lord.
+Don–When asked he wanted prayer he said, “Why not”. We prayed for Don’s health and the health of the Neighborhood.
Jim (regular)–Jim’s new habit when he stops at the Prayer Table is to thank God. In the midst of all of the homelessness in the community, today he thanked God for his home. We prayed for continued healing of Jim’s memories.
Tony (stopped last week at the Prayer Table)–Prayed for another good week.
One of the “girls” who work on State Street– When asked if she wanted prayer, she said, “Not today”. She then proceeded to a near-by phone booth and called someone. A car pulled up next to her and she got in. Please pray that she be saved from “a life of death”.
+TJ–young man. At the urging of his girl friend, he came to the Prayer Table. We prayed for provision.
Man on a bicycle towing a cart of bottles–We said, “God bless you” to him. He replied, “God blesses me every day”.
+Will–At the Prayer Table, people have asked for prayers for health, protection, their family, peace, even their cat. This young man asked for a stronger relationship with the God. He also asked that his fiancée (Michelle) would come to know Jesus. We prayed for strength and that Will would be a witness to Michelle. We also thanked God for Will’s faithfulness. Will also asked about services at Christ Church, and we gave him a card indicating the times for services. Please pray that Will and Michelle will grow closer to each other and closer to the Lord.
