Dear Prayer Warriors-
Fr. Nigel’s status continues to be critical. At this time the family asks for prayers for the fever to drop and for his lungs to clear. Pray also for the infection which is causing the fever to disappear. Please do not visit Fr. Nigel in the hospital, but please do pray continuously for his healing.

Father Nigel was an inspiration to me in seminary and one of several who led me to a healing ministry of my own. I have added him to all intercessory prayers at St. Mary’s since I heard of his illness. In praying for him this morning, the experience of Julian of Norwich came to mind. She had remarkable “showings” of God’s divine love while she was in a state described much like Fr. Nigel’s. Job developed a much deeper understanding of God during his suffering. I pray that God’s purpose in this is to show more of himself to Fr. Nigel and that like Job Fr. Nigel receives twice as many years after this suffering as he has had thus far.
You are in my prayers!
We are from the Rufus Womble Chapeter, Richmond, Va. OSL and will be at Shrinemont for a conference beginning tomorrow, Oct. 26. Shrinemont is where we first met Nigel and then he came to Richmond to present at our OSL Mission. We have been praying diligently for Nigel but are planning some extra prayer time for him at Shrinemont which is such a beautiful setting as he remembers. Our love, support and prayers are with Nigel and his family.
Blessings,
Sandra and Charlie Wayland
Job 42:10, especially the first part, has also been on my heart lately, ‘And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends…’ then the second part that Father Jim mentioned above, ‘and the Lord gave him double for all he had lost.’
This verse seems to describe a spiritual principle. People have been marvelously healed and blessed while praying for Fr. Nigel.
