From Amos and Psalm 37

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD, “that I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.” (Amos 8:11)
Jesus, the Episcopal Church is in such a famine now; please help us hear what your Spirit is saying to the church.

“They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, but shall not find it.” (Amos 8:12)
Father, please help us repent and return to you and stop our wandering ways.

The LORD knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. (Psalm 37:18-19)
Holy Spirit, please help us walk in an upright way so that we may hear your word to us. Thank you.
