Psalm 49:5-9

Why should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity at my heels surrounds me? (Psalm 49:5)
Jesus, you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Those who trust in their wealth and boast in the multitude of their riches, (Psalm 49:6)
Father, my boast is of your son Jesus and his cross and resurrection.

None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him– (Psalm 49:7)
Holy Spirit, thank you for the many things that I am unable to do in my own strength, but that I can do with your power.

For the redemption of their souls is costly, and it shall cease forever– (Psalm 49:8 )
Jesus, thank you for paying the cost of my redemption.

That he should continue to live eternally, and not see the Pit. (Psalm 49:9)
For I know that my redeemer lives, and he shall stand at last on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not as a stranger. How my heart yearns within me! (Job 19:25-27)
