After several days of disrupted service, our computer is now functioning. My hometown, Yazoo City, MS, was hit by an unusually large tornado on Saturday. For the level of destruction, it is miraculous that only four lives were lost. Amazing stories of survival abound–cars lifted up in the air for 20 feet and then set back down, a man hiding under a communion table while the entire church around him is flattened. Our family and congregation are unharmed; our rectory and church untouched. The community is now hard at work.
I thank God for His tender mercies, and I pray that the Holy Spirit will just as surely blow through our hometown.
