When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, (Psalm 114:1)
Lord, lead us out of bondage to sin; help us walk in the freedom you alone can give.
Judah became his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. (Psalm 114:2)
Jesus, have dominion over us — help each of us in this diocese be a sanctuary for your Holy Spirit.
The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back. (Psalm 114:3)
Father, please help us remember all your mighty deeds and tell them to the next generation. Bless the witness of all those who minister to the children and youth at the Diocesan Convention.
The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs. (Psalm 114:4)
Lord, we pray that all of your creation will rejoice at what you are doing for your people.
What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back? (Psalm 114:5)
Father, you made a way through for your people: they passed through the Red Sea and through the Jordan River with dry feet. Help us go through every obstacle and fulfill your purposes for us.
O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs? (Psalm 114:6)
Holy Spirit, set our hearts to rejoicing as well!
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, (Psalm 114:7)
Holy Spirit, move our hearts to awe at what you have done among us; help us praise you as we ought. Turn our hearts to praise and worship of Jesus.
Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters. (Psalm 114:8 )
Holy Spirit, please turn the stony places in my heart to fountains of living water. Thank you for all that you are doing in my life. Amen.
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, (Ephesians 5:19)
Father, help me speak your words of rejoicing and praise to my own heart as well. Help me to wake up each morning singing your praises. Thank you.

Pray for revival. Pray for my people to be transformed by the power of my Holy Spirit.
Lord, I pray that I too will be transformed by the power of your Holy Spirit; please move in my heart.
