FROM FOX NEWS:
Israel’s prime minister has expressed his support for the military’s actions in a deadly raid against an aid flotilla sailing to the blockaded Gaza Strip. Benjamin Netanyahu’s office says he spoke Monday to top Israeli diplomatic and security officials by telephone from Canada and voiced his “full backing” for the military. Commandos stormed six ships carrying hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists on an aid mission to the blockaded Gaza Strip, killing at least 10 people and wounding dozens after encountering unexpected resistance as the forces boarded the vessels.
Earlier this week, members of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty singled out Israel for nuclear disarmament without mentioning Iran’s nuclear build-up. This represents a change in US policy.
Isaiah 62:1, 6, 7 (New International Version)
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.
Father,
We pray for an open heaven over Jerusalem. May Your holy radiance bathe this land and Jerusalem’s righteousness shine out like the dawn. May Your revelation fill the hearts of her people. May Jerusalem’s salvation shine like a blazing torch.
We pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May those who love Jerusalem be secure. May there be peace within her walls and security within her citadels. For the sake of our brothers and friends, we will say, “Peace be within you.” Amen.
Psalm 122:6-9
Christian and Muslim empires sought to own Jerusalem by force, and God did not allow either to stand. Thank you for encouraging us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
