My husband, Rev. George Woodliff III, has undergone four of a scheduled twelve sessions of chemotherapy, and his weakness is profound. Lent & Beyond has also been praying for Rev. We ask You for garments of praise over George and Nigel. Surround them with the sounds of heaven. Commission Your holy angels to fill the atmosphere over each man with hundreds of songs, with the sounds of the harp, cymbals, tambourines, and bagpipes. Weave a tapestry of ancient chants and modern choruses, hymns of joy and peace.
Ring out, ‘Hosanna!’ Resound, ‘Glory to God!’ Bind this spirit of weakness with chains and fetters of iron. ‘Hallelujah to God in the highest! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!’
Jehovah Lord, anoint George and Nigel with Your strength, Your beauty, Your joy that they may be oaks of righteousness whose leaves do not wither, bearing spiritual fruit, and prospering Your kingdom on earth. Amen.
