So when Jesus came, he found that he had already been in the tomb four days. Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away. And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him, but Mary was sitting in the house. Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” (John 11:17-21)
Lord, come and be present here and bring new life to the dead and dying — bring your new life to dead and dying parishes.
“But even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.” (John 11:22)
Jesus, ask your father for new life in the Diocese of Albany, the Diocese of Down and Dromore, and the Diocese of Peru.
Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” (John 11:23)
Holy Spirit, help us receive this good news for our families, friends, and parishes.
Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” (John 11:24)
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; (Deuteronomy 33:27a) Jesus, ask your father for new life in the Diocese of Albany, the Diocese of Down and Dromore, and the Diocese of Peru.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)
Jesus, I believe this.
She said to him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” (John 11:27)
Jesus, thank you for breaking into my life.
And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.” (John 11:28 )
Father, help each of us hear and respond to Jesus’ call.
As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to him. (John 11:29)
Holy Spirit, help us respond quickly whenever Jesus calls us. Thank you.
