There is a history of broken covenants in Kansas. During the Indian Wars in the late 1800′s, the US violated many Native American treaties.
The Jewish people came to Kansas in the late 1800′s to farm and to be a model for their culture. They called the place where they settled Beersheba. By the time they arrived in western Kansas, the Jewish man (Rabbi Isaac Wise) responsible for sending people to the state had introduced three things into Jewish theology. He removed the concept of a messiah, he did away with a literal resurrection, and he said Israel would not become a nation again. This theology came to be called “Reform Judaism.”

We humbly ask that the government of Kansas will align with Israel and with the Native people so that the nation will shift its course to the covenants of God. Amen.
