Psalm 116:1-7

I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications. (Psalm 116:1)
      Thank you, LORD, for listening to me in all times and seasons.

Because he has inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call upon him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:2)
      Father, thank you for being a “Dad” to me and listening to me.

The pains of death surrounded me, and the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. (Psalm 116:3)
      Jesus, you are a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; thank you for entering into my sorrows and grief — for hearing me when I cry out to you.

Then I called upon the name of the LORD: “O LORD, I implore you, deliver my soul!” (Psalm 116:4)
      Jesus, win the victory in my life.

Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yes, our God is merciful. (Psalm 116:5)
      Holy Spirit, thank you for teaching me day by day of our father’s mercy.

The LORD preserves the simple; I was brought low, and he saved me. (Psalm 116:6)
      Thank you, Jesus, for saving me.

Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. (Psalm 116:7)
      Father, as you led Naomi and Ruth out of bitterness and sorrow into the fullness of your provision; so you are leading us step by step. Thank you for your merciful kindness toward us. Thank you for giving us this day’s bread and word.

“and do not lose heart” (verse 1) A word received: That is why I told you, “Never give in!” It is a choice I AM asking you to make. It is a choice to not give in.

“will he really find faith in the earth?” (verse 8 ) “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1) A word received: I want you to place your trust in me and my Father.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:18 ) A word received: Ask that your prayers will be guided and shaped by my Holy Spirit.

      Epistle: 2 Timothy 3:14-4:5

But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of (2 Timothy 3:14a) A word received: “Continue” means trusting me and what I have taught you.
