“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)
Father, thank you for your good pleasure. Thank you for the kingdom you have prepared for us. Thank you for setting us free from fear. Please fold us daily into your arms and into your flock.
“Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.” (Luke 12:33)
Jesus, you are the Pearl of Great Price. You are the treasure that does not fail. You are the treasure our hearts long for. Set our hearts free to give all and follow you.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Luke 12:34)
Holy Spirit, come and refine our hearts.
Gold is tested in fire and chosen men in the furnace of humiliation. (Ecclesiasticus 2:5)
LORD, thank you for your refining fire and the fire of your love. Burn away the dross in our lives so that we may be pure gold for you. Thank you for every humiliation we have to endure for the sake of your kingdom.

Gospel: Luke 19:1-10
A word received: Where were you when I first called you? Look to me with same expectant hope that Zacchaeus had. I will not disappoint you.
Luke 19:3 “And he sought to see who Jesus was.” A word received: Zacchaeus had everything except me and he desired to know me. In knowing me he gave up much to gain me.
Epistle: 2 Thessalonians 1:1-12
A word received: Zacchaeus showed forth my righteousness by repenting and turning to me. I bless those who do that. Look to me, Church; look to me.
A word received: Pray for my people that they would endure through to the end.
Old Testament: Isaiah 1:10-20
A word received: It is not enough to say, “Lord, Lord!” You must do (underline do) what I say. Examine yourselves: come to me in repentance.
A word received: Confess your sins and come to me in repentance as Zacchaeus did.
Psalm: Psalm 32
A word received: Pray that I will come to you, meet you, and instruct you. Look at what I actually taught Zacchaeus: I taught him that I loved him and would come into his home. That was transforming. Are you listening to what I have taught you?
Psalm 31:1-2 A word received: Look at the blessing Zacchaeus received.
