You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe; as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. (1 Thessalonians:10-12)
Holy Father, please help us walk worthy of your grace; help us answer your call into your kingdom. Father, thank you for your apostolic ministers who have been models for us of Jesus’ love and humility. Please help us to be faithful and effective witnesses to your grace. Thank you.
Therefore the Lord says, the Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, “Ah, I will rid myself of my adversaries, and take vengeance on my enemies. I will turn my hand against you, and thoroughly purge away your dross, and take away all your alloy. I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.” (Isaiah 1:24-26)
Jesus, please come among us with your justice and mercy and righteousness. Please restore our civic life to the holiness you desire in us and for us.
Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her penitents with righteousness. The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed. For they shall be ashamed of the terebinth trees which you have desired; and you shall be embarrassed because of the gardens which you have chosen. For you shall be as a terebinth whose leaf fades, and as a garden that has no water. The strong shall be as tinder, and the work of it as a spark; both will burn together, and no one shall quench them. (Isaiah 1:27-31)
Holy Spirit, we have become an unwatered garden; come soon and refresh us. Move throughout this diocese and cleanse and renew us. Move our hearts to reach out to the lost and the least. We pray for your little ones that they will find a home and a shelter near your altar. (See Psalm 84:3)
A word received: Pray for my people to hold steady in me.

I correct my comment: “There is nothing in the mall that you can buy for your soul.” I am wrong! There is one thing in the mall that you can buy for your soul, and that is found in a book shop: “The Bible.”
Be well, God bless you, Fr, Nigel+

The food court at which the Halleluah chorus was performed was NOT in Australia but in Ontario, Canada
