2 Peter 1:1-8

Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: (2 Peter 1:1)
Jesus, please help us receive the words of this letter from Peter and you into our hearts.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, (2 Peter 1:2)
Jesus, please help us know you better.

as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, (2 Peter 1:3)
Jesus, as we grow in our knowledge of you, let your divine power work in us and bring us to glory and virtue.

by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4)
Holy Spirit, please help us live in the hope that comes from these precious promises.

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, (2 Peter 1:5)
Father, help our lives reflect your virtue. Please help us to be diligent in acquiring the knowledge that comes by faith.

to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, (2 Peter 1:6)
Holy Spirit, bring your people to self-control, perseverance, and godliness.

to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. (2 Peter 1:7)
Father, we want to jump straight to love, but that is the fruit of diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, and brotherly kindness. Help us by your Holy Spirit to practice all these so that love may abound.

For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:8 )
Lord Jesus Christ, let our lives be fruitful in our knowledge of you.
