Matthew 1:22-23, Sunday School Lesson, and Prayer Table Report

So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:22-23)
Jesus, we really need to experience and know your presence with us.

Father, come and fill us anew with your Holy Spirit so that we can know Jesus’ presence in our lives.

Holy Spirit, move in our hearts today. Let this truly be a day of Advent — of Jesus coming into our lives. Thank you.

A word received: Give me your burdens.
