Ephesians 5:1-8

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. (Ephesians 5:1)
      Father, please help us show forth your love and mercy and justice.

And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. (Ephesians 5:2)
      Jesus, please help us walk and abide in your love — help us to be living gospels so that others may see you and know you.

But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; (Ephesians 5:3)
      Holy Spirit, set your people free from the snares of pornography.

neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. (Ephesians 5:4)
      Thank you, LORD, for working in our hearts and minds.

For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. (Ephesians 5:5)
      Holy Spirit, please help us stop listening to the lies of the world, the flesh, and the devil. Spirit of Truth, fill us up anew with your presence.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. (Ephesians 5:6)
      Lord, cleanse the seminaries of the Episcopal Church of empty, deceptive words. Bless the ministry of Trinity Seminary and Nashotah House.

Therefore do not be partakers with them. (Ephesians 5:7)
      Holy Spirit, please help us walk apart.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8 )
      Jesus, you are my light — let your light shine through me.
