a–EDITH — Asked for prayers for many members of family and a close friend as well. Her brother ROBERT, who has been fighting cancer, is having an important doctor visit/consultation on Thursday and we prayed for good news for him. Her sister GRACE, also in a long cancer fight, is still in remission. We prayed for continued healing for her. A friend (who prefers to be anonymous) is enjoying slightly better health in the last few weeks after being ill much of November and December. Edith also asked for prayers for herself. Her niece EUNICE died recently which of course was a great sadness to Edith, and Edith also is bothered by severe arthritis which keeps her awake much of the night. Most of all, we prayed a thanksgiving for Edith that, as she said, “On the whole, things are going pretty good right now.” Thank you, Lord!
a–KATHY — She requested prayers for her daughter SUSAN, who is currently experiencing a lot of depression. Doctors have prescribed medicine for her to take for depression, but Susan doesn’t like to take it because she feels the medicine has the opposite effect and makes her more depressed. We prayed for Susan to receive God’s healing and that all the anxieties and fears she is experiencing will be replaced by the love and faith and hope that comes only from Christ.
a,t — PATRICIA — This lady asked for prayer for the trouble she is having with controlling her diabetes because “nothing seems to be working.” We prayed for Patricia’s complete return to health.
a–JOE — This repeat visitor, a regular at our luncheon, asked for prayers for his mother ANNE, who feel getting out of bed one night this week and broke her hip. She is in the hospital. We prayed for her quick recovery and for her to soon be back on her feet.
