Psalm 56:1-4

Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; fighting all day he oppresses me. (Psalm 56:1)
Jesus, I take refuge in the power of your name. Please hold me in your hand.

My enemies would hound me all day, for there are many who fight against me, O Most High. (Psalm 56:2)
Holy Spirit, please guide Bishop Bill as he leads this diocese.

Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you. (Psalm 56:3)
Father, I love you and I look to you day by day for strength to endure. Please give me this day’s strength.

In God (I will praise his word), in God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? (Psalm 56:4)
Jesus, I thank you that I am in your hands. Please keep me steady in you.

A word received: Seek me; pursue me. I AM waiting.
