We ask You, Father, to send Your word that delivers Your children from the destruction of terrorists and false media.

Israeli-Syrian border

May 17, 2011

This border was the site of a recent uprising.

Mark 8:27-29 (New International Version)
Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, “Who do people say I am?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.”

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.”

Father,
Though these words were spoken two thousand years ago, they are still living and active. They remain in the atmosphere over today’s Israeli-Syrian border. We stand in agreement with the words of Peter.
Jesus is the Messiah! Jesus is the Lord of all! Jesus is the Lord of the Israeli-Syrian border. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Jesus reigns over the Israeli-Syrian border. We declare the name of Jesus at this border. Jesus brings the dominion of God.
Come near, kingdom of God! Come near to the Israeli-Syrian border. Amen.

From Luke 1 and 2

May 17, 2011

Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed. (Luke 1:1-4)
      Holy Spirit, clothe all of us with the shoes of the preparation to share the gospel of peace. Thank you for guiding and directing Luke to set forth what has been done by Jesus operating in your power and wisdom. Please help us in our generation to set forth “those things which have been fulfilled among us.”

My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.
For he hath regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden.
For behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For he that is mighty hath magnified me, and holy is his Name.
And his mercy is on them that fear him throughout all generations.
He hath showed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He hath put down the mighty from their seat, and hath exalted the humble and meek.
He hath filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he hath sent empty away.
He remembering his mercy hath holpen his servant Israel, as he promised to our forefathers, Abraham and his seed for ever.
(Luke 1:46 55)
      Father, thank you for all your servants who praise you in the midst of very challenging circumstances. Please help us to do the same.

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he hath visited and redeemed his people;
And hath raised up a mighty salvation for us in the house of his servant David,
As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
To perform the mercy promised to our forefathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
To perform the oath which he sware to our forefather Abraham, that he would give us,
That we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest, for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
To give knowledge of salvation unto his people for the remission of their sins,
Through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us;
To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace.
(Luke 1:68 79)
      Jesus, please help us prepare your way so that we give knowledge of salvation to your people. Help us, as you did with John, show forth your tender mercy and give light to those that sit in darkness and the shadow of death. Guide our feet into the way of peace. Thank you.

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word; for mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people, to be a light to lighten the Gentiles, and to be the glory of thy people Israel. (Luke 2:29 32)
      Amen and Amen.

      Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.

A word received: Don’t be afraid. Keep your eyes on me.

Dear faithful souls,
      I ask your prayers for Travis. Travis is 19 years old and is lying in the same bed and same room in Saratoga Hospital as I was. He is in the same condition! I met his family on Friday and prayed with them in the decision in starting dialysis, which they did as I was there. It was very strange kneeling next to the bed as if I was in. I called the chaplain this morning and Travis needs lots of prayer. He has coded twice before Friday. We are believing in the power of the resurrection of Jesus for his healing. Please join me as I pray on my knees for this young man, his girl friend and family. Thank you so very much.

      Oh God you raised me from that bed in the same room, PLEASE have mercy on Travis and raise him too….
