Matthew 6:19-21

May 24, 2011

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;” (Matthew 6:19)
Jesus, help us find our strength and our daily bread in your hands. Thank you for providing for us all these years.

“but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (Matthew 6:20)
Father, help us to be rich in the gifts and fruit of your Holy Spirit.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)
Jesus, you are the treasure we seek; help us find you each day at work, in our homes, our parishes, and our communities. Thank you.
