You, yourself, are to be feared; and who may stand in your presence when once you are angry? (Psalm 76:7)
Help us to have a holy fear of you, LORD, for we are sinners in your sight.
You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared and was still, (Psalm 76:8 )
Jesus, we know that you will be our judge — we plead with you for your mercy.
When God arose to judgment, to deliver all the oppressed of the earth. (Psalm 76:9)
Father, have mercy on the oppressed in the land — move our hearts with your compassion.
Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; with the remainder of wrath you shall gird yourself. (Psalm 76:10)
Lord, there is much wrath in the land and very little light — have mercy on us.
Make vows to the LORD your God, and pay them; let all who are around him bring presents to him who ought to be feared. (Psalm 76:11)
Holy Spirit, help us keep our vows.
He shall cut off the spirit of princes; he is awesome to the kings of the earth. (Psalm 76:12)
Jesus, move through the halls of Congress, the Courts, and the White House and display your awesome power there.
