Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (Romans 8:35)
Lord, none of these are able to separate us from your love for us. Help us to endure all things for the sake of your love for us.
As it is written: “For your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” (Romans 8:36)
Holy Spirit, it doesn’t matter what others think of us, help us to know ourselves through the eyes of Jesus love.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)
Father, please help us with Paul to be able to say: “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:11-13)
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
Amen, Lord Jesus. Amen.
A word received: Pray for my people to return to me — I AM the God of mercy.
