Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (Philippians 2:1-2)
Holy Spirit, bring us to a quiet, common mind in Jesus throughout this diocese.
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. (Philippians 2:3)
Holy Spirit, keep me from being high-minded. Help me to have the mind of Christ.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:4)
Father, please help us love you, and love our neighbors as ourselves.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, (Philippians 2:5)
Jesus, help us have your mind about all things.
who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7but made himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:6)
Jesus, help us to walk in your humility.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. (Philippians 2:8 )
Holy Spirit, bring us to the obedience to the Father that will enable us to walk the way of the cross.
Therefore God also has highly exalted him and given him the name which is above every name, (Philippians 2:9)
Jesus, help us daily bring honor to your name.
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, (Philippians 2:10)
Holy Father, cleanse our mouths of all filthy talk and slander so that we can bring honor to the name of Jesus. As you did with Isaiah, touch our lips with your fire and burn away all filthy talk (See Isaiah 6:5-7).
and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:11)
Holy Spirit, help as you did Timothy (See 1 Timothy 6:12) to make the good confession before others of our faith in Jesus so that we bring glory and honor to God the Father. Thank you.
