South Carolina: Praying Psalm 5 for the Bishop and others in the eye of the storm

I am currently reading a Psalm each evening.  Having just rebegun the Psalms on October 1, my reading tonight was Psalm 5.  Verses 11 and 12 encouraged me deeply with their truth, and they make a wonderful prayer for all the leaders in the Diocese of South Carolina tonight, especially Bp. Mark Lawrence:

Ps 5:11-12
11    But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
12    For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
(NIV)

May Bp. Mark and all the leaders in the diocese find MUCH joy in Christ as they take refuge in Him in these days.  May the Lord increase their love for His name.  May He empower them to sing for joy – yes even in “dark cages!”  – and may He grant them confidence in all His promises.
