Colossians 1:15-18 (MSG)
We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, he organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body.

Christ Jesus, Son of God,
We thank You that the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina was started in You and finds its purpose in You. We thank You for holding it all together right up to this moment. We thank You for Your perfect organization, Your perfect alignment, and Your perfect order. Amen.

We also look at this Son and see our true selves, our wounded humanity healed and the image of God restored.

Yes, the perfection of our faith is an eschatological hope; but conversion/transformation is a process that begins this side of the fullness of Eternity in time and space while forgiveness bridges the gap between the “is” and the “ought.”
