Church of England

My husband once observed that Jesus, in his natural life on earth, submitted to time.

“Dear woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied, “My time has not yet come.”

He who was “in the beginning,” He who is “the same yesterday and today and forever” submitted to time. He waited.

Our Father in heaven,
We believe that when we’ve been in heaven ten thousand years, we’ve no less days to sing Your praise than when we’ve first begun. Yet, on earth, our days are numbered. One would think that with a finite number of days, we would be even more intentional about filling the time with praise. Yet, the opposite happens.
Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
Teach the Church of England to sing Your praise and bring kairos into chronos. Teach them to redeem the time. Amen.
