My bishop, Rt Rev Duncan Gray, is going on sabbatical. The inspiration to use the seven names for Jehovah came from a member of a worship group that I am part of. JW
Psalm 23 KJV, adapted
The LORD is Duncan’s shepherd; he shall not want.
Jehovah-Ropheka, may he rest in You.
The Lord maketh him to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth him beside the still waters.
Jehovah-Shalom, may he rest in You.
The Lord restoreth his soul: He leadeth Duncan in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Jehovah-Tsidkenu, may he rest in You.
Yea, though Duncan walks through the valley of the shadow of death, he will fear no evil: for the Lord is with him; His rod and staff they comfort him.
Jehovah-Shammah, may he rest in You.
The Lord preparest a table before Duncan in the presence of his enemies:
Jehovah-Jireh, may he rest in You.
The Lord anointest his head with oil; his cup runneth over.
Jehovah-Mekaddishkem, may he rest in You.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow him all the days of his life:
Jehovah-nissi, may he rest in You.
and he will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
