Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalm 23:1)
Thank you, LORD, for your faithfulness.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters. (Psalm 23:2)
Jesus, thank you for directing our lives.

He restores my soul; he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. (Psalm 23:3)
Holy Spirit, please come with your restoring power on the people and parishes of this diocese.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)
Father, so much that seemed solid and enduring in the Episcopal Church is dying away; guide us and discipline us day by day.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. (Psalm 23:5)
Jesus, thank you for the Eucharist; thank you for the anointing of your Holy Spirit.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:6)
Father, thank you for the hope that you have placed in our hearts.
