Mark 5:25-34

Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. (Mark 5:25-26)
Jesus, you know our infirmities and the cost of health coverage; have mercy on us.

When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. (Mark 5:27)
Holy Spirit, please guide us to Jesus so that we too can touch the hem of his garment and be healed.

For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” (Mark 5:28 )
Father, please help us come to Jesus in faith as this woman did.

Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. (Mark 5:29)
Jesus, we long to see such healing in our bodies and in all who come to you in faith and hope. Bless the ministry of healing throughout this diocese. Please restore Fr. Nigel and Fr. Hap to full health.

And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” (Mark 5:30)
Jesus, please let the power of your Holy Spirit come out to us.

But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?'” (Mark 5:31)
Lord, we too are often pretty clueless about the questions you ask of us. Thank you for your patience with us.

And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. (Mark 5:32)
Lord Jesus, search us out as well.

But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. (Mark 5:33)
Holy Spirit, please help us give a good testimony about what Jesus has done in our lives as this woman did.

And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” (Mark 5:34)
Father, please grant us faith that brings us to healing — give us faith such as this woman had. Help us minister your love and faith and healing to those we meet along the way. Thank you.
