Psalm 89:24-29

May 17, 2010

“But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him, and in my name his horn shall be exalted.” (Psalm 89:24)
Father, thank you for your faithfulness and mercy.

“Also I will set his hand over the sea, and his right hand over the rivers.” (Psalm 89:25)
Father, thank you for the authority and dominion you have given your son Jesus.

Jesus, have dominion over our hearts and minds.

“He shall cry to me, ‘You are my father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.'” (Psalm 89:26)
Holy Spirit, please help each of us make that same cry: “You are my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.”

“Also I will make him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.” (Psalm 89:27)
Jesus, come and be exalted in our hearts and minds.

“My mercy I will keep for him forever, and my covenant shall stand firm with him.” (Psalm 89:28 )
Father, form us as a covenant people.

“His seed also I will make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.” (Psalm 89:29)
Jesus, Ancient of Days, come and establish your throne in our hearts throughout this diocese. Establish your sovereignty in the hearts and minds of all those going to the Diocesan Convention. Thank you.
