Matthew 28:1-9

Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.” (Matthew 28:1-5)
Holy Angels, daily point us to Jesus.

Jesus, I seek you — come into my life more and more each day. Thank you for being crucified for me.

“He is not here; for he is risen, as he said. come, see the place where the Lord lay.” (Matthew 28:6)
Holy Spirit, thank you for raising Jesus from the dead and coming into our hearts with the truth and joy of the gospel.

“And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead, and indeed he is going before you into Galilee; there you will see him. Behold, I have told you.” (Matthew 28:7)
Father, please help us quickly go and tell our brother and sister disciples everything you have done in our lives. Let the joy of every encounter with Jesus spill over into testimony.

So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word. (Matthew 28:8 )
Holy Spirit, bring us to daily Easter joy that cannot be contained but which must be shared with others.

And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” (Matthew 28:9)
Jesus, please help us hear your word to these women and to us: “Rejoice!” Jesus my heart is filled with joy this morning, thank you!

A word received: “Pray for my little ones who suffer fro my name’s sake.
