Psalm 37:1-8

December 9, 2010

Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. (Psalm 37:1)
Holy Spirit, come and set our hearts free from fretting and envy.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. (Psalm 37:2)
Father, thank you for your righteous judgments.

Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness. (Psalm 37:3)
Jesus, you are our dwelling place from everlasting to everlasting.

Delight yourself also in the LORD, and he shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Holy Trinity, one God, you are my delight and my hope. Help me now to cease from anger and forsake wrath and stop fretting — they only causes harm. (See verse 8 )

Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. (Psalm 37:5)
Lord Jesus Christ, I commit my way to you.

He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. (Psalm 37:6)
Holy Spirit, please help me receive the righteousness and justice that come from placing my trust in Jesus.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. (Psalm 37:7)
Father, help me rest in your arms — let me find my peace in you day by day.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret–it only causes harm. (Psalm 37:8 )
Holy Spirit, wash and cleanse my heart and mind with the blood of Jesus. Thank you.

A word received: My people go their own way. Pray they will listen to me and walk in my ways.

Albany Intercessor

Open wide the fortress gates

December 9, 2010

You are the Lord. There is no other. There is no God but You.
We lift up to You those patients who suffer from neuropsychiatric disease. If their illness results from mineral imbalances, abnormal linkages, or mineral deposits, go before them, make the crooked places straight; break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. Christ Jesus, Lord Sabaoth, open wide the double doors of healing and grant them treasures that have been hidden from man.
God, You have named Your intercessors. You have named Your children Joseph, Sally, Chris, Lauren, Gaenor, Mark, Samuel, Erin, Isabella, Christy, Nick, Alan, and David. You have called us and equipped us for battle.
You are the Lord. There is no other. There is no God but You. Amen.
Isaiah 61:1-6
