Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. (Psalm 37:1)
Holy Spirit, come and set our hearts free from fretting and envy.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. (Psalm 37:2)
Father, thank you for your righteous judgments.
Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness. (Psalm 37:3)
Jesus, you are our dwelling place from everlasting to everlasting.
Delight yourself also in the LORD, and he shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Holy Trinity, one God, you are my delight and my hope. Help me now to cease from anger and forsake wrath and stop fretting — they only causes harm. (See verse 8 )
Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. (Psalm 37:5)
Lord Jesus Christ, I commit my way to you.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. (Psalm 37:6)
Holy Spirit, please help me receive the righteousness and justice that come from placing my trust in Jesus.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. (Psalm 37:7)
Father, help me rest in your arms — let me find my peace in you day by day.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret–it only causes harm. (Psalm 37:8 )
Holy Spirit, wash and cleanse my heart and mind with the blood of Jesus. Thank you.
