John 7:37-39

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:37-38 )

Jesus, I thirst for more of you, help me come to you and drink.

Lord Jesus, I believe in you – let your rivers of living water flow out from me.

But this he spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. (John 7:39)

Holy Spirit, fall on us — fill us anew with your transforming power.

Father, help us throughout this diocese to receive all that you want to give us. Thank you.
