Our Father in heaven,
You are the Creator of heaven and earth and all that is therein. You are the Creator of the laws of thermodynamics, of light and energy. You are the Creator of subatomic particles and space. You are the Creator of the moon and tides and currents and winds. We humbly beseech You to be present to the Fukushima reactors. Jehovah Shammah! Like a balm spread over a wound, rest upon this place. Rest upon the laws of thermodynamics, upon the subatomic particles, upon the land, upon the water, and upon the atomosphere. Rest upon the hearts of all who work there.
Jehovah Shalom, bring peace! Amen.
Our Father in heaven,
And the LORD said to Moses, “Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. (Exodus 32:7)
Lord Jesus Christ, you brought us out of bondage to sin and death by your death and resurrection and by sending your Holy Spirit to us. We so quickly turn aside from your path. Restore us and renew us.
They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!’ ” (Exodus 32:8 )
Father, “all we like sheep have gone astray” (Isa 53:6). Draw us back to you. Guide the shepherds of your flock so that they lead us back into your ways.
And the LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people! (Exodus 32:9)
Holy Spirit, soften our hearts and our necks so that we willingly accept the yoke of Christ.
Now therefore, let me alone, that my wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.” (Exodus 32:10)
LORD, we are a sinful people, have mercy on us.
Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God, and said: “LORD, why does your wrath burn hot against your people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’” (Exodus 32:11-13)
Holy Spirit, move in the hearts of your people — move them to stand in the gap and intercede for your church and your people. As you raised up Moses in his day, raise up intercessors in our day. Thank you.
So the LORD relented from the harm which he said he would do to his people. (Exodus 32:14)
Holy Trinity, one God, your mercies are new every morning — thank you.
Praying the Nicene Creed, a word received 12/29/07: Each day I want you to take a phrase from the Nicene Creed and pray that phrase. My people need to hear what is true and make it their own.
I believe in one God,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, thank you for being one and thank you for your love for one another. Please help me, help your people live in the reality of your unity and love. Thank you.

and of all things visible and invisible;
Father, we know that we are surrounded by your angelic hosts and that whole company of heaven, that cloud of witnesses that has gone before us. Help us to be steady in you till we reach that place of rest. Thank you.

Malachi is buried in the same catacomb as Haggai, on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
Malachi 3:16-17 (Good News Translation)
Then the people who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard what they said. In his presence, there was written down in a book a record of those who feared the Lord and respected him.
They will be my people, says the Lord Almighty. On the day when I act, they will be my very own. I will be merciful to them as parents are merciful to the children who serve them.
We cry out for the fear of the Lord in Israel and throughout the Middle East and northern Africa. Pour out a spirit of humility, respect, and godliness on this land. Amen.
Job 22:25-26 (Good News Translation)
Let Almighty God be your gold, and let him be silver, piled high for you. Then you will always trust in God and find that he is the source of your joy.
You are our hearts’ desire. Pile Yourself high for us!
