But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, and he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine. (Isaiah 43:1)
Jesus, please help us set aside our fears and turn to you. Thank you for redeeming us by your cross and blood and resurrection.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. (Isaiah 43:2)
Lord, many in your church are passing through deep waters, and some have been swept away; have mercy on us and help us know you are with us.
For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. (Isaiah 43:3)
Father, you are our God and you have made us your children by sending your Holy Spirit into our hearts; and so we cry, “Abba, Father!”
Since you were precious in my sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you; therefore I will give men for you, and people for your life. (Isaiah 43:4)
Holy Spirit, thank you for all those witnesses you have sent in the past to us. Please continue to remind us of all that Jesus has done for us.
Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west; (Isaiah 43:5)
Lord, draw all our children and grandchildren to you.
I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the ends of the earth–everyone who is called by my name, whom I have created for my glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” (Isaiah 43:6-7)
Jesus, set free all in our family who are in bondage: Lord, set the captives free!
Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears. (Isaiah 43:8 )
Jesus, restore hearing and sight to your people and to the church. Move in the healing and preaching ministries in this diocese. Thank you!
