John 4:21-24

January 20, 2012

Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship him. God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. “ (John 4:21-24)
Father, please help us worship you in Spirit and in truth. Restore truth and worship in the power of your Holy Spirit to the Episcopal Church for Jesus’ sake.

A word received: Wait on me. Let me guide you. Let me call you.

Many people are presenting with issues of fear and anxiety at the moment. Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real! Identify the root of the fear, did you learn it from someone else or is this from an incident or trauma in your life? Is this fear real or perceived? Jesus said, “Ask.” Ask Jesus to remove the fear and the root cause. 2 Timothy 1:7 writes, “For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind.”
