Mark 4:35-41

On the same day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” Now when they had left the multitude, they took him along in the boat as he was. And other little boats were also with him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” Then he arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:35-39)
Jesus, help us to take you “as you are”. Please speak your word of peace to the storms in our lives and in your church.

But he said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” (Mark 4:40)
Father, you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Thank you. (2 Timothy 1:7)

And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey him!” (Mark 4:41)
Holy Spirit, please help us recognize Jesus for who he is — the Christ of God and the Savior, Redeemer, and Lord of the whole world. Thank you.

Escape from your cave, visit the nave.
Gentlemen, have you been cave dwelling lately? Ladies are you fed up with your spouse hiding in his cave? John 11:43 writes, When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” I would humbly write, (insert you name here ) come out, of your cave! Gentlemen we are not cave dwellers any more!
PS. Actually, I am writing this as a, “Note to self!” (my wife had Ma Bell install a phone in my cave!). Have a great day. No… have a great life.

***** Pray for the Spring House of Bishop’s meeting at Camp Allen in the Diocese of Texas. Prayers for safe travel and a productive, spirit filled meeting for all the Bishops and supporting staff.
