But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” (John 12:23-24)
Holy Father, please help me die to myself as Jesus did so that I may produce a good harvest for your kingdom.
“He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” (John 12:25)
Father, please help me repent of all those old patterns of thought and deed that seek what the world has to give. Help me to embrace your kingdom.
“If anyone serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves me, him my Father will honor. ” (John 12:26)
Holy Spirit, please help me to serve and follow Jesus daily.
“Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.” (John 12:27)
Jesus, in the day of temptation and battle, help me make the choice you made to embrace your Father’s plan for you.
“Father, glorify your name.” (John 12:28a)
Father, I ask for your will to be done in my life and in the world around me as it is in heaven.
Epistle: Hebrews 5:(1-4)5-10
A word received: I want you to know who I AM. I AM a priest forever and the Suffering servant (Isaiah 53) spoken of by Isaiah the Prophet. I know your strengths and your weaknesses. I know them because I lived among you as one who cried out with tears to my Father in Heaven. I cried out because my sorrow was great and my love for you was even greater. I want you to know me and join me in crying out for the lost and the weak.

***** Christ Church Schenectady Prayer Table Report, Saturday, March 25, 2012, 9:305 – 10:30 a.m. Torre Bissell on State St. and Carol MacNaughton and Mark Pasko on Albany St. A bit brisk and breezy.
+–indicates received a wooden cross made by Dennis Adams of North Carolina
The saints on the St. James’ Prayer Table Team sent us two of these marvelous prayer table tablecloths like the one they sent to the Cathedral prayer table team (see above) for use on State St. and Albany St. in Schenectady.
William (from next door) and +Jallah his step-son.
+Terrell (woman drove up in a car and parked next to us) — She confessed her sins to Jesus and accepted him once again as Lord and Savior. She went away knowing that she is now “clean”.
+++++++Nathan (young man) — He got a cross for himself one for each of his brothers and sisters. He said, “Thank you for making a difference in our community.”
Tom (wearing a cross made by Dennis Adams) — He has just gone into retirement and his first retirement check won’t come until May 1st. We prayed that he would find favor with his landlord because he didn’t have money yet to make the April rent payment.
+Curtis — “A job.”
Steve — We prayed for the pain in his hands and knee.
+Alfonso (man aged 60) — He cried out to the Lord that He would provide him with a wife and for help with his finances. He said, “I thank God that this [prayer table] is here.”
A man who has prayed for those manning the prayer table several times stopped to shake my hand.
+Nick (young man) — “I’m not a religious person.” He had come to do community service at Christ Church. We prayed for his torn rotator cuff.
+Paula (regular) — She came to give thanks and express her great joy that her daughter Tiffany is expecting a baby girl in July. She reported that all her family is doing well. We prayed for a safe and easy delivery and a strong and healthy child.
+Tony (man) — “I want to get all these vibes off my back.” I prayed for spiritual protection and told him Jesus is a rock he can stand on.
+Singh (young man) — I prayed that he would grow into the man God is calling him to be.
+Ed — His girlfriend just broke off the relationship with him last night and he was hurting. He also asked prayer for his mom Debbie who is in Albany Med.
Rumar — He was full of the joy of the Lord.
+Gloria (woman) — She is a Christian woman who has been married to a man for 25 years. He has been doing drugs for many of those years and that has killed off much of her love for him. He is currently in a rehab program. She doesn’t know if she can continue with him. We prayed for guidance for her.
Albany St. report to come later.
