Ephesians 5:6=10

May 25, 2012

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. (Ephesians 5:6)
Lord Jesus, the deceiver is at work in your church and is leading many astray. Have mercy on us and help walk in your footsteps.

Therefore do not be partakers with them. (Ephesians 5:7)
Holy Spirit, please help us resist every temptation to join in with those who deceive your saints.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8 )
Jesus, thank you for being the light to lead us through this time of darkness in the church and in the nation.

(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), (Ephesians 5:9)
Holy Father, produce those good fruit in our lives that will please you: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, godliness, and self-control (see Galatians 5:22-23).

finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:10)
Holy Spirit, give us discernment to know what is pleasing in your sight and give us grace to do it. Disciple us each day and help us heed your words of guidance. Thank you.

A word received: I AM your strength — look to me.

      Notes from the Front Line

***** Start now reading and reflecting on the lessons for next Sunday so that you can receive all that God has for you (104:25-37 or 104:25-32 or 33:12-15,18-22; Acts 2:1-11 or Isaiah 44:1-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-13 or Acts 2:1-11; John 20:19-23 or John 14:8-17).

***** I strongly recommend the book Miraculous Movments by Jerry Trusdale © 2012. It is in paperback and Kindle. While the theme of the book is the hundreds of thousands of Muslims who are turning to Jesus, the real focus of the book is on how to effectively disciple non-Christians and bring them into a living relationship with Jesus where they will lead others to Christ. It is one of the most exciting books Jean and I have read in several years. Torre
