Tied up by; Testified to

And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me. (Acts 20:22-23 ESV)

Holy Spirit, you have bound up Jesus’ witnesses in South Carolina and the Episcopal Church House of Bishops, carrying them captive into situations with guaranteed affliction and unknown outcomes.

We pray that you will testify to them as well, that even in hardship they will know that they are carrying out the Father’s plan, anointed with you for “testifying (to all) of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21 ESV). In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
