knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God. (1 Thessalonians 1:4)
Thank you for choosing us, Jesus; help us daily choose you.
For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake. (1 Thessalonians 1:5)
Holy Spirit, please let the power of the Gospel be unleashed among us day by day.
And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, (1 Thessalonians 1:6)
Father, thank you for the joy of the Holy Spirit that you give to those going through afflictions.
so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe. (1 Thessalonians 1:7)
Jesus, help us to be examles of your grace and mercy to the whole of the Episcopal Church. Thank you.
For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything. (1 Thessalonians 1:8 )
Jesus, let your word be sounded forth in all the surrounding dioceses.
For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10)
Holy Spirit, help us turn from every form of idolatry to Jesus. Thank you.

Re: Christ Church Schenectady Prayer Table Report
Just wanted to make a little correction: Actually St Ann’s raised $812 total and received 300 pcs (100 each of hats, gloves and socks). The response from St. Ann’s was amazing (and rapid!). Your donation totaled another $300 (another matching challenge with another person involved) which made your total, including the first set, 105 pcs (35 each of hats, gloves, socks.) I wanted to be sure to let you know that the deal we got from the Army/Navy was very generous and much appreciated! And that the money raised was double what you thought! God is Good and He is Faithful!!! May God bless you mightily for all you are doing through your faithfulness at the prayer table 🙂 Sandy
